Getting started
Arranging care can feel like a big step. We guide you through it, from the first conversation to the day your care begins, at a pace that suits you.

You Do Not Need to Have It All Worked Out
Many people get in touch when something has changed, such as a fall, a hospital stay or a feeling that a parent is not coping as well as before. You do not need a diagnosis, a care plan or the right care terms. Just tell us what is happening and we will take it from there.

Please do not send medical records through the website. We will talk about health needs during the assessment.

Arranging Care for a Parent Who Lives Elsewhere
- Phone and video calls: we can talk things through at a time that suits you, including evenings by arrangement
- Joining the assessment: you can join by phone or video, or a local relative or friend can attend in person
- Agreed updates: we agree how and when we keep you informed, with your parent's consent
- One point of contact: you always know who to call at our office
It is important that your parent is involved and agrees to the support. We will always speak with them directly and respect their wishes.
Arranging Care Through the Council or a Social Worker
If you think the council may help with the cost of care, you can ask Coventry City Council or Warwickshire County Council for a free care needs assessment. A social worker or assessor will look at what support is needed and whether the council can contribute.
We work with local authorities, families and healthcare professionals. If a social worker is already involved, they can contact us directly, or you can give us their details and we will liaise with them.
Understanding the Cost
The cost of care depends on how much support is needed and when. After your assessment we give you a clear, personalised quote before care begins.
