Companionship care in Coventry and Warwickshire

Friendly, regular company from someone who shares your interests, so days feel brighter and you stay connected to the people and places you love.

A good chat, a cup of tea and something to look forward to.

What Is Companionship Care?

Companionship care is about people, not tasks. A friendly carer visits regularly to spend time with you: talking, sharing hobbies, going out or simply being good company.

It suits people who manage day to day but feel lonely, have lost confidence going out or miss having someone to talk to. Companionship can be on its own or alongside other support such as visiting or personal care.

When a Little Company Makes a Big Difference

Companionship may help if you or your loved one:
  • Lives alone and spends long stretches without seeing anyone
  • Has lost a partner or close friend and feels the days are quieter
  • Has stopped going out after a fall, an illness or a loss of confidence
  • Lives with sight or hearing loss and finds it harder to socialise
  • Is living with dementia and enjoys familiar faces and routines
  • Has family who live far away and worry between visits

Things We Can Do Together

Select the activities they enjoy, then send them with an enquiry.

Sit-ins: Time Out for Family Carers

If you care for a partner or parent, it can be hard to leave the house. A sit-in means one of our carers stays with your loved one for a few hours, so you can go to an appointment, see friends or simply have some time to yourself.

Your loved one has good company and you can relax knowing someone is there.
